Painters will utilize necessary skills and procedures to construct items used in the production of specialized communication units produced by Nomad Global Communication Solutions. 


·         Candidates coming in at the Production Painter II should be competent in the skills and requirements listed below.    


Production Painter I

·         Operates a spray gun to apply industrial automotive paint finishes on various types of materials including metal , aluminum, plastic and others as needed.

·         Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent.

·         May have to complete an apprenticeship and/or formal training in the application of automotive paint or have 0-2 years of experience.

·         Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within the automotive painting field.

·         Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.

·         Works under immediate supervision.

·         Primary job functions include prepping material for paint and may occasionally apply paint to a small part.

·         Typically reports to a supervisor/manager.

Production Painter II

·         Operates a spray gun to apply industrial automotive paint finishes on various types of materials including metal, aluminum, plastic and others as needed.

·         Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent.

·         May have to complete an apprenticeship and/or formal training in the application of automotive paint or have 3-5 years of experience.

·         Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the automotive painting field.

·         Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.

·         Performs paint application onto small to medium sized parts and pieces. May also include limited paint application to vehicles. 

·         Works under general supervision. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required.

·         Typically reports to a supervisor/manager.

 Manufacturing Cost Accountant

Nomad Global Communication Solutions is seeking an experienced manufacturing cost accountant to join the finance team in our growing organization.  The position will collect, analyze and report the cost of project manufacturing, variances by project, including manufacturer’s unit value (MUV) and product price variance (PPV), revaluation, conversion cost absorption and freight.  This position will assist plant personnel in understanding variances and determining and implementing corrective actions where appropriate.   This cost accountant will prepare, review and update cost centers, machine and labor rates and standard costs in ERP system for collecting data, analysis and reporting.  Perform special projects analysis as required with emphasis on process improvements.  Drive continuous improvement through trend reporting analysis and metrics management.  Develop and prepare supplemental daily, weekly, month-end, quarterly and annual reports for management.  Audit and analyze source data, such as costs of materials, labor, manufacturing conversion costs, quotes/bids and contracts for accuracy, completeness, and profitability.   This position will oversee and analyze cost expenditures. This cost accountant will review existing purchases, record data, recommend new cost-efficient cost options. This position has a strong link between finance, operations and sales to implement standard cost processes and to identify variances.   It will also work across different production and management teams to gather, analyze and report important manufacturing cost information.  This position reports directly to the Finance Manager and will be a cohesive member of the Finance Team.


Essential Functions: 

·         Create project cost models to aid the decision-making process for developing and updating standard costs and the estimating processes. 

·         Variance analysis (reconciliation and explanation of manufacturing variances – material, scrap, labor, variable and fixed costs).

·         Analyze labor, material and overhead costs against the bid, budget and/or contract documents.

·         Assist with job cost month-end close, balance sheet reconciliations, project budgeting and sales forecasting. 

  • Conduct research and perform analytical studies regarding cost, margins, variance analyses, and profitability.

·         Performs reporting activities throughout the month on margins, absorption, MUV and PPV and other metrics to ensure timing and accuracy of standards and gross margins.

  • Develops and reviews cost analysis reports and works with manufacturing department heads to formulate corrective actions.
  • Complies with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

·         Maintains company accounting procedures and processes.

·         Provides product cost information utilized in month end financial closing.

·         Applies lean manufacturing concepts to daily work and projects.

·         Serves as an advocate for continuous improvement.

·         Perform ad hoc product and plant cost analysis to support operations.

Basic requirements

·         BS in accounting

·         3 to 5 years manufacturing cost accounting and hands-on ERP experience (preferable Enterprise 2(E2))

·         Excellent analytical skills; ability to streamline and automate complex processes 

·         Excellent communication skills; strong focus on accuracy and attention to detail 

·         Strong grasp of GAAP and standard costing concepts 

·         Strong Excel skills, advanced project costing modeling and analytical techniques

OVERVIEW:  Under the supervision of the Finance Manager and/or the Management Staff Accountant, this position performs a variety of accounting functions including, but not limited to preparing and posting entry-level vendor or customer invoices when all of the supporting documentation has been received and compiled, processing payments to vendors or payments received from customers, and maintaining positive, high-quality vendor/customer relations.


·         Assists the Finance Department to meet departmental tasks and goals in a team environment.

·         Assists with the preparation of financial reports by accounts receivable and accounts payable information from the general ledger system and from departments as required.

Overview:  Nomad seeks an Information Systems Manager whose contributions will include installing, configuring, and supporting our organization's local area network (LAN), wide area network (WAN), and Internet systems or a segment of a network system. Monitor networks to ensure network availability to all system users and may perform necessary maintenance to support network availability. May monitor and test Web site performance to ensure Web sites operate correctly and without interruption. Assist in network modeling, analysis, planning, and coordination between network and data communications hardware and software. Administer and monitor network security including intrusion, detection, and surveillance. The Electrical Tech I will work under the direction of the Electrician III to install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures. Inspects, repairs, installs, modifies, and maintains electrical/electronic systems, circuits, and equipment. Familiarity with both 12V and 120V electrical is preferred.

May have to complete a formal training in the area of electrical for advancement in this position.

The Electrical Tech I has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within the electrical field.

Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.

Works under immediate supervision. 

Primary job functions do not typically require exercising independent judgment.

The Design Engineer’s work is a critical stage in the Engineering process.  They are responsible for creating parts and assemblies and compiling them into complete production-ready project models. Accuracy and completeness must be maintained through all levels of construction in order to provide the Drafter sufficient details for their drawings, complete BOMs for Purchasing and procedural layouts for Production.  Design Engineer will also be required to produce drawings depending on project load and needs within the company.  All steps within the Design Engineer’s construction must meet or exceed Nomad Global Communication Solutions’ standards of excellence.

In order to achieve these results, candidates must be able to perform the following essential duties and agree to the associated responsibilities of this position.  Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned.

• Create complete solid models of each project.  This will include section levels, assemblies, and parts as needed.
• Create complete and accurate BOMs of each project.
• Responsible for the creation of accurate and useful drawings for each project.  This may be accomplished by utilizing the drafter.
• Create accurate parts and assemblies, complete with all assigned properties for use within top-level models.
• All documentation required for production needs to be accurate, complete and finished within established time frames as agreed upon by the operations team.  The Design Engineer will have input when deciding the dates so that every department can be successful.
• Analyze proposed design changes and communicate their assessment of the proposed design changes’ effect upon engineering time, manufacturing time and the associated hard costs.
• Analyze parts and assemblies and design them to optimize cost, strength, and manufacturability as needed.
• Use FEA to analyze parts, perform stress calculations by hand, create tests to verify results, document analysis, and change parts as needed to optimize the design.
• Research, read, and understand outside standards, such as MIL-SPECs, RVIA code, NEC, etc.  Document in a readily usable form the key criteria from outside standards as they apply to Nomad.
• Create, implement, supervise, and document tests to verify that designs meet customer requirements.
• Work within the established document control procedure, and suggest and implement changes as necessary.  Responsible for making sure that the correct documents are available to the correct person on the manufacturing floor.
• Communicate with vendors to troubleshoot designs, get information on new designs, obtain drawings and models of components.
• Take accepted design changes and make applicable changes in a timely and accurate manner.
• Analyze proposed Change Orders and communicate their assessment of the proposed Change Order’s: 
o Affect upon the project’s original design parameters
o Its feasibility given the project’s budgetary parameters and a breakdown of any associated hard costs
o The estimated engineering time for completion of the change
o The affect the change would have upon the project’s timeline 

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering
  • Experience with SolidWorks
This is a full-time position requiring 40 hrs per week, primarily Monday thru Friday.

Human Resources Assistant/Receptionist
