The Team Lead is responsible for leading and managing the team responsible for producing strategic or tactical vehicles in a manufacturing shop environment. The successful candidate will have demonstrated strong leadership skills and the ability to efficiently lead a team of 4-8 employees. 

This leadership role is responsible for delivering strong project, time management, and people skills while ensuring that the production process is carried out in accordance with the customer specifications and organizational goals. Supervise and lead a Nomad production team in accordance with company policies and procedures. Ensure a safe and smooth production operation during shift. Must be able to act with good judgement in a fast-paced environment. Ability to provide sounds solutions and innovative ideas in order to maintain a competitive advantage and a positive impact to the bottom line. Deadlines are critical, therefore OT is often times mandated. The Team Lead is required to be present at all times, including all required overtime, to effectively lead the team. In order to maintain efficiency and productivity, the Team Lead is responsible for ensuring that all employees are trained, engaged, and managed effectively through performance, talent, and skill development process. The Team Lead is responsible for ensuring that improvements are made, metrics are tracked, and production deadlines are met with an end result of the highest quality product delivered by the expected date. 

Essential Functions / Responsibility:

  • Operate daily according to Leader Standard Work (LSW)

            o Ensure proper use of LSW and appropriate countermeasures are taken when problems surface. 

  • Maintain and use Visual Controls and Daily Management Boards (DMB).

            o Lead daily startups through Tier 1 meetings.

            o Monitor progress throughout each shift (per LSW) comparing the target to the actual.

            o Tie teams to the department and support groups through Tier 2 meetings with the Program Manager. 

            o Lead continuous improvement through the collection and analysis of the data for the project team assigned. 

            o Ensure each project is built in adherence to all Nomad QC requirements and documentation is complete (per LSW). 

  • Coordinate with Program Manager, Production Manager, and other Employee Resources for appropriate staffing levels. 
  • Operate with a Continuous Improvement mindset. 

            o Reduce waste and support key company objectives at the team level. 

            o Assist Program Manager in developing, implementing, and maintaining production standards, SOP’s, quality, and safety. 

            o Ensure production associates are cross-trained and specific training requirements are being achieved. 

  • Ability to perform all the functions of a Production Technician including, but not limited to: flooring installation, plumbing, door and window installation, HVAC, cabinet and counter-top making, electrical wiring, etc. 
  • Disciplined in execution of duties as listed above. 
  • Responsible for leading and directing of the respective crew in the manufacture of projects while meeting key metric requirements: DLH, IDL, Time and Attendance, Production Rework, OT, efficiency, and safety targets. 
  • Responsible for 5S, shop floor cleanliness and clear connection to IC for kitting and parts queue.
  • Daily reporting: To team at Tier 1 and to Program Manager at Tier 2. 
  • Identify, implement, and train a Team Lead #2.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of all the portions of the production process. 
  • Conflict resolution, resource scheduling, planning, meeting facilitation, leadership and team building. 
  • Assist in formal reviews of team members and performance management through appropriate observation and documentation. 
  • Read, understand, and apply Engineer CAD drawings to production requirements. 
  • Ensure Nomad’s policies and procedures are adhered to and fairly and consistently followed.

Physical Demands:

  • The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 60 lbs. unassisted.

  • Must be able to work and wear the proper PPE during all tasks. This could include full face respirators and protective coveralls over clothing.  

Working Environment:

  • Work outdoors as required. 
  • The current work environment is partially environmentally controlled indoor environment. Depending upon time of year, working temperature can fluctuate between 60F and 100F, but typically is help around 70F.
  • The Employee must have the ability to work from heights at ground floor up to 20’ from the ground on ladders or platforms of varying sizes. 
  • The Employee may be subjected to noise levels which may range from low volume to loud and will be required to wear provided safety hearing devices from time to time. 
  • The Employee will be exposed to a variety of household/commercial chemicals which will require the Employee to follow company rules/regulations outlined by that chemical’s MSDS. 
  • All Team Members must wear provided OSHA approved eye protection at all times on the Production Floor.
  • PPE – The Employee will be required to wear provided safety eye-wear throughout the performance of their duties. 

Qualifications & Experience: 

  • High School Graduate or GED; Higher education strongly desired. 
  • 1+ years of experience at Nomad GCS, Inc. preferred. 
  • 3-5 years of manufacturing or construction management (or equivalent of education and experience). 
  • Experience with inventory management systems, and E2.  
  • Demonstrate experience, knowledge, or aptitude in Lean methodology. 
  • Ability to train and mentor other team members.

The purpose of the Scheduler is to support Nomad's Operations department with the following tasks and administrative activities. 

Essential Functions / Responsibility:

• Distribute production schedules or work orders to departments. 

• Review documents, such as production schedules, work orders, or staffing tables, to determine personnel or materials requirements or material priorities. 

• Confer with department supervisors or other personnel to assess progress and discuss needed scheduling changes.

• Revise production schedules when required due to design changes, labor or material shortages, backlogs, or other interruptions, collaborating with Management, Marketing, Sales, Production, and Engineering. 

• Examine documents, materials, or products and monitor work processes to assess completeness, accuracy, and conformance to customer standards and specifications. 

• Compile information, such as production rates and progress, materials inventories, materials used, or customer information, so that status reports can be completed. 

• Compile and prepare documentation related to production sequences, transportation, personnel schedules, or purchase, maintenance, or repair orders. 

• Maintain files, such as production schedules and efficiency calculations.  

• Plan production commitments or timetables for business units or specific projects using sales forecasts. 

• Establish and prepare information on required number of workers needed. 

• Compile and provide documentation and information to account for delays, difficulties, or changes to cost estimates. 

• Prepare reports and schedules for leadership review using advanced excel skills.

Position:  Drafter-Electrical Engineering Assistant - Engineering

The Electrical Drafter will assist electrical engineers in such activities as drafting electrical power distribution, control and instrumentation design. They will prepare drawings and layouts of electrical distribution systems and control systems, construction of prototypes, troubleshooting and repair of existing systems, participate in product and reliability evaluation and research. 

Essential Functions / Responsibility:

Nomad’s Electrical Engineering Assistant needs to have the ambitions to grow their knowledge constantly to move into the Electrical Engineer’s position as the company continues to grow and needs more electrical support. 

Design

· Diagnose, test, or analyze the performance of electrical components, assemblies, or systems. 

· Review electrical engineering plans to ensure adherence to design specifications and compliance with applicable standards and codes. 

· Assist in design of electrical equipment and systems. 

CAD/Documentation

· Create or modify electrical drawings, schematics and documentation using CAD and other software programs. 

· Analyze operational data to evaluate operations, products, and designs to ensure quality. 

· Compile and maintain records documenting engineering schematics, installed equipment, installation or operational problems, resources used, repairs, or corrective action performed. 

· Review, develop, and prepare maintenance and manufacturing standards.

Test/Reliability

· Set up and operate standard or specialized test equipment.

· Review installation or quality assurance documentation. 

· Test products, devices and materials for their applicability for designated applications.

Prototyping/Manufacturing Support

· Create and evaluate physical models or prototypes.

· Test products and prototypes for functionality or quality.

· Install or maintain electronic equipment, such as electrical control systems, industrial automation systems, or electrical equipment including control circuits, embedded and programmable logic controllers.

Engineering Support

· Knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies to promote protection of people, data, property, and institutions to always promote a safe work environment. 

· Knowledge to be able to operate a variety of current tools to include, but not limit to: capacitance meters, electronic measuring probes, frequency analyzers and counters, microcontrollers, multi-meters, network analyzers, oscilloscopes, personal computers, plotter/printers, power meters, signal generators, soldering iron, voltage or current meters, crimpers, hand tools, data-loggers. 

· Excellent commuication skills to be able to relay and explain electrical drafts to the Electrical Technicians on the Production Floor.

Our Proposals Coordinator is responsible for a key contribution when it comes to responding to current and future business opportunities. The selected candidate’s primary responsibility will be to ensure that Nomad is well positioned to be aware of, and respond to bids that fall within our areas of expertise. Additionally, they have the responsibility to support our remote team members with a variety of requests that enable them to be customer facing. Lastly, they need to be engaged with, as well as collaborate with sales and marketing to drive messaging that resonates and impacts our current customer base. In a nutshell, we need a highly organized individual who thrives in a deadline driven environment but also has the ability to connect and build the connection with our customers. Our ideal candidate will continuously improve our written responses and support our sales team by building contract award-winning presentations while being likable and able to drive relationships.

Essential Functions / Responsibility:

· Manage bid and proposal processes from start to finish in response to Request for Proposals (RFP’s) from customers. 

· Act as a conduit between the organization and the outside sales team to help interpret client requirements and support company goals. 

· Work independently, but support consistent collaboration – leveraging emerging approaches. 

· Work collaboratively to implement innovative approaches to stay connect with our existing customer base. 

· Maintain and monitor all bid and contract related sites to find the business necessary to achieve revenue goals. 

· Generate Nomad Project Bid Requirement Standards: Incorporate Nomad Verbiage to client specifications, so that they are stronger when the project goes to bid. This would mean working with engineering/production/IT to identify methods they use which our competitors may not (3D CAD, ERP system, 3rd party engineering certification, Cisco certifications, etc.). 

· Support outside sales team members with sales related activities including, but not limited to market research, sales support, document preparation, and other activities as requested. 

· Achieve revenue targets as assigned

 The Senior Web Applications Developer works in a rapid prototype environment supporting Nomad’s continuous development of proprietary technologies. The position requires the application of independent thinking to develop and test solutions related to centralized control operating tools. Also creates user information solutions by developing, implementing, and maintaining Internet/intranet applications; leading a team of developers. 

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

· Defines objectives by analyzing user requirements; envisioning system features and functionality.

· Designs and develops user interfaces to Internet/intranet applications by setting expectations and features priorities throughout development life cycle; determining design methodologies and tool sets; completing programming using languages and software products; designing and conducting tests.

· Recommends system solutions by comparing advantages and disadvantages of custom development and purchase alternatives.

· Integrates applications by designing database architecture and server scripting; studying and establishing connectivity with network systems, search engines, and information servers.

· Creates multimedia applications by using authoring tools.

· Completes applications development by coordinating requirements, schedules, and activities; contributing to team meetings; troubleshooting development and production problems across multiple environments and operating platforms.

This is a hands-on role to safely provide quality electrical knowledge and skills to build projects that meet customer and Nomad specifications. To install, test and quality assure the 12V and 120V systems within projects. Evaluate and continuously improve electrical processes, in Nomad while maintaining consistent use of existing ones.

Essential Functions / Responsibility:

  • Splicing wires and soldering connections to fixtures and equipment.
  • Diagnosing or repairing problems with electrical equipment, such as lights, relays, battery isolators, generators sound, navigation, communication, security equipment, and leveling systems in motor vehicles.
  • Installing equipment and accessories such as stereos, navigation equipment, communication equipment, and security systems.
  • Running wires and cables for AC and DC systems, controls, and various electronic appliances.
  • Cutting openings and drilling holes for fixtures and equipment, using electric drills, air saws, and multi-tools.
  • Replace electrical or electronic components.
  • Build wooden enclosures and carpeted wall panels to custom fit vehicle dimensions.
  • Ability to be cross-trained in areas including, but not limited to, flooring installation, plumbing, door, and window installation, HVAC, cabinet and countertop making, welding, and I.T. integration.
  • Additional duties as needed by supervisor.

Welders/Fabricators will utilize the necessary skills and procedures to construct items used in the production of specialized communication units produced by Nomad GCS. 


Essential Functions / Responsibility:
· Fabricate and weld metal and/or aluminum by applying the appropriate welding techniques. 

· Must maintain a good proficiency rate, avoiding any rework. Complete extra training to achieve a higher level of skill and accuracy. 

· Requires the ability to weld both metal and aluminum using MIG, TIG, spool gun, and push-pull. 

· Strong points would be in fabrication concepts, practices, and procedures within the welding field. 

· Relies on experience and judgment to accomplish goals. 

· Works under general supervision; typically reports to a supervisor or manager. 

· May be cross-trained to work on a variety of processes including, but not limited to: flooring installation, electrical systems, plumbing, door and window installation, stabilizing systems, HVAC, cabinet and countertop making, welding and technology integration.

· 1-5+ years of previous welding and metal fabrication experience. 

· Good math skills including understanding numerical data and taking accurate measurements. 

· Must have valuable clear vision, being able to see details at close range of self. 

· Required knowledge and experience with: Interpreting blueprints, specifications, diagrams or schematics, determining appropriate welding process, MIG, TIG, spool gun, push-pull welding applications.
